Dr Rory Linehan

Executive General Manager, Minetec & Codan Defence Electronics

Rory joined Codan in 2014, working across the Group to leverage technology and innovation to develop strategies for growth. He has a technical background with degrees in Physics and Engineering and a PhD in Mathematics; this is coupled with a range of commercial skills spanning strategy, marketing, business development, systems engineering and programme management. In addition to this Group role, Rory is Executive General Manager of Minetec and Codan Defence Electronics.

Minetec develops the underlying technology for mechanised and autonomous mining; providing high precision tracking, safety and task management systems that unleash the benefits of a data-driven mining operation. Codan Defence Electronics is a new-created division that offers radio frequency, communications and electronics expertise to the Australian Defence market.

Prior to Codan, Rory held a number of positions with blue-chip firms in the UK including McLaren Formula One, Cobham and Goodrich. He lived for five years in Seattle working on the product development of the Boeing 787 flight control system.

Alan FenelonAlan Fenelon

General Manager, Commercial Development

Alan joined Minetec in June 2014; he is responsible for taking Minetec’s integrated Safety and Productivity solutions to the global mining community. His team leads the effort in strategic business development as well as designing and delivering the appropriate global partnerships required to achieve this success. Alan has worked as a commercial innovator in mining technology for over 15 years. He brings a wealth of experience harnessing potential to deliver real solutions; with experience spanning technology innovators such as Snowden, acQuire Technology Solutions and Micromine.  Alan brings his energy, entrepreneurial flair and commercial acumen to Minetec and has already delivered significant success. As Minetec experiences unprecedented demand for their unique solutions, Alan is ideally experienced to optimise the enormous potential this brings.

Darren ToyDarren Toy

General Manager, Project Services

Darren joined Minetec in July 2013 as General Manager, Project Services and is responsible for the delivery of all customer engineering projects and in-service operational support. Prior to joining Minetec, Darren gained over 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, both in the public and private sector.  Darren has a diverse skill set; from establishing and running a Project Management Office to the development of a national process improvement program in the retail banking sector. Darren holds an Associate Diploma in Industrial Electronics from the University of South Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Managers.

Grant WilmotGrant Wilmot

General Manager, Technology

As an original owner and director of Minetec, Grant provides overall technical leadership and direction to Minetec’s technology and product development. Grant has been at the forefront of technical innovation in the mining industry since 2001; having developed numerous novel and patented solutions during his time at Minetec.  Grant comes from an extensive electronic and RF engineering background coupled with an innate understanding of the mining industry.

 

Kay LiKayi Li

Financial Controller

Kayi holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.  She was appointed to the position of Financial Controller Minetec in January 2013. Prior to Minetec, Kayi has had various roles within the Codan group. Kayi is responsible for the financial control and reporting for Minetec.
