MESHING
Central to meshing technology is the ability to route around faults providing the ability to recover or self heal in the event of failures. In Figure 10 multiple node failures have occurred, one wireless node is completely offline, and the second losing its LAN connectivity. Due to the overlapping coverage areas, meshing nodes will automatically reconfigure (within seconds) maintaining coverage during the outage. This decision making process is done autonomously on the node itself, requiring no external interaction. As soon as a closer gateway comes online, the mesh will reconfigure to take the most optimal path not only providing more fault tolerant but also increased data throughput an extremely important feature allowing seamless handover between nodes ensuring that quality reliable data communications is always maintained. |
Wi-MAX
Wi-MAX provides all the features of Meshing but with increased Telco grade availability higher guaranteed sustained throughput and better support in mobile environments. Deployments' using this technology have far greater coverage than WI-FI and is available in both the licensed and Unlicensed spectrum. Making it the best choice for the most mission critical applications. |
