  • Increase your Network Availability

    The AirPair Ring/Mesh configuration is enables carrier grade performance, while achieving the lowest network cost. AirPair Ring/Mesh provides 99.999% availability by providing redundant link diversity from each location. The AirPair Ring/Mesh N+1 architecture requires only one more link than there are nodes, thus minimizing network costs. This is significantly lower than a 1+1 architecture, where at least two or more links are needed per node, depending on the diversity required.

    Other benefits of the AirPair Ring/Mesh configuration include:

    • Shortened Radio Links – requiring reduced antenna size and repeater requirements;
    • Angle Diversity - providing 5 to10x per link availability improvements;
    • Option for 3rd diverse links from any node; and
    • Option for 2nd hub node to provide nodal redundancy.

    The AirPair Ring/Mesh is deployed by using AirPair links, in tandem with an approved Ethernet switch, and an AirPair multi-beam antenna assembly. The Ethernet switch provides protection switching in less than 50 ms.

    The Mesh/Ring can be deployed with any of the following licensing options:

    • Area License (i.e. 24 GHz DEMS, 28 GHz LMDS, 26 GHz LMDS);
    • Link-by-Link licensing (i.e. 11, 13, 15, 18, 23, 26 GHz); and
    • 24 GHz Unlicensed.

    Extend Your Reach

    AirPair High Power provides industry leading reach capabilities extending wireless distances to 50 Km, while enabling high capacity native Ethernet transport. AirPair High Power enables the highest system gain for high capacity licensed native Ethernet bandwidth solutions on the market and provides in-service Ethernet and TDM upgradeability from 10 Mbps to 500 Mbps committed full duplex data rates.

    The AirPair High Power option is available on all AirPair variants (AirPair 50, 100, 170/200 and Flex), providing reach extensions to an industry leading Ethernet platform. AirPair High Power allows for up to 30 percent increased reach over the existing AirPair platform while maintaining the native Gigabit Ethernet interface, and unmatched wireless bandwidths. Additionally, AirPair High Power will be deployed to improve link availability or enable reduced antenna sizes in real estate sensitive metro markets.

    Modulation Shifting – Further Reach Extension

    AirPair provides enhanced reach through modulation shifting. Modulation shifting will reduce the operating modulation during a fade event. This will provide improved link budget, at a reduced capacity (50 Mbps). Modulation shifting will enable longer links to be engineered, with a high availability guarantee of service.
